Anyone install Skyking crash bobbins on their ST? I just got a set and wanted to know if someone had any trouble or if it was pretty straight forward.
Thanks,
Don

I just placed a pair on my new RS. Should be an identical process to your machine, except for fairing removal.
It was easy to do and you can do all of it yourself in less than an hour, but a second set of hands during the torque-tightening process will save you a lot of grief and time, and thus is strongly recommended.
You'll also need:
a. T55 Torx socket (for eng mount bolt removal)
b. Torque wrench
c. 19mm deep socket
d. 50cm worth of socket extension bars
e. Loctite
Mucking with the fairing on a windy day was the worst part for me.

Thanks PerryK, They say in the instructions that fairing removal isn't required but I don't see how. Anyhow, I have the necessary tools and the second pair of hands so will get to work on it soon.

I recently installed Sky King Sliders on my 2K ST. I did not remove the fairings to do it. But I got every socket extension I could find and put them together so I could get to the left side bolt from the right side and the right side bolt from the left side. Just take your time and it goes fairly quickly. I also installed mirror extensions and a powermax exhaust. Took about 2.5 hours for everthing.
