Only fully synthetic EVER. My 955 Tiger likes Motul fully Synth. Expensive but good. Funnily enough, the most noticible difference if the gearchange is better??

Just had my late 6k service and as perusual dealer put in Silkolene (sp). I asked my tech about oil and he showed me the inside of another engine that needed some internal work done. (not a triumph) (not oil related) And the internals looked very clean.

I did an oil analysis on the Mobil1 before switching to AMSOIL. It is now time to change the AMSOIL and will do an analysis on that too. The Mobil1 is excellent but it fell out of grade after 5500 miles. We'll see on the AMSOIL. With out getting into big details (there are many) what I like about AMSOIL is every bit the oil Mobil1 is at half the price. If anyone wants to try it, support a triumph riding dealer. PM me for the dealer's number and a procedure on how to order.
Any fully synthetic is good - change oil when the gear change gets clunky. All the Mobil products for cars are great, the Shell stuff is good too. Check this site out:-
I switched to Castrol EVO 10w-40 at my last oil change and have since put on a couple 100 miles, the only thing I have noticed is that gear changing is no longer clunky. I have 3600 miles on the bike.
