heres the thing. i have a ARD mag. so i got the tympanium voltage regulator. all I'm running off the regulator is the head light, horn and brake lights. i have the bike wired up with no ignition just a toggle switch. i was wondering if i have to run it positive ground still. is the power coming from the alternator positive ground?(if that makes any sense) the instruction say the the regulator can be run either way. it doesn't matter to me. but was just wondering?

Why would you want to go positive ground ? In the old days these things were not standardized. UK stuff was positive ground. In the US, it depended on who made it whether it was positive or negative ground. That all went away in the US when we changed to 12v. in the mid 1950's. I think in the UK it lasted a little longer. Now we can swap parts through out the world with no problems because we standardized everything to 12v negative ground.
