I'm at it again. Picked up the used Tbird and was disappointed at the lack of a tool kit. I kept the cost low by buying some cheapo tools to fill my kit and made a holder for it on the right inside removable cover. I got the following items:
1. WIDE velcro about several inches long $2.00
2. one plastic cable tie (free)
3. "Dollar Store" 50 piece tool kit with torx, bits, ratchet and associated sockets for $5.00 threw in an allen wrench too.
4. small vinyl tool bag with snap closure ( from my garage)
5. needle nose and regular pliers 2.00 from Dollar Store

I put all the necessary Triumph sockets on the cable tie to keep them from sloshing around. Packed it and other essential tools in the tool bag. Mounted the fuzzy side velcro in two spots above and below where the tool kit would lay horizontally in the right side removable cover. I used a few inches of the WIDE strong velcro. Then with the other side of the velcro, one longer WIDE piece, I just strapped the bag in place and relaced the cover! Wallah! It fits and I have tools now! I'll try to send in some pics. $10.00 tool kit makes me happy.

You might want to test out that "$5.00 tool kit" before you actually need to. Half the time those things are SO cheap the ratchet strips out with the slightest amount of torque and everything else is made of such soft pot metal that you'd be better off with a Swiss Army knife or a leatherman's tool.

But, remember Murphy's Law...if you have it, you'll probably never need it. Nice job '02, amazing what a little bit of ingenuity can do!

Hope you never need it: Jim
