My '01 Legend is due for another valve adjustment; it's been 12,000 miles since the last one.

We popped off the valve cover last night, and checked the valve clearances. I only had to change ONE shim, and the rest measured the same as they did when last adjusted. It's nice to know that the clearances don't change much after the initial adjustment.

While the Legend is disassembled, we're going to take out the airbox and clean the K&N filter. Then he'll be ready for another 12K.

Missed you too, sprint. I've been around, just really busy this summer.

My bikes are both male, and they both have names. My Kawasaki Eliminator is Jack, and the Legend is the Green Monster.

I'm assuming yours is female? They all certainly seem to be when working on them, since most of the expletives I've ever heard are feminine...I won't go into detail.

Right you are young lady! Far be it from me to be riding a male. I'll get around to naming her one of these days.

P.S. Speaking of names: I thought you were married to TrophyBoy. Just who the heck is this BeemerBoy??!!
