I'd love to have some solid advice on what slip on mufflers will give me a real nice , much louder than stock sound. I have a stock '96 Adventurer.

Great looking bike. Sounds like ass.

I cant hear it running on the highway with a helmet and wind noise..... Makes it harder to ride not knowing what the engine is doing.

Anyone have DIRECT experience putting a great sounding slip-on on this bike ???

Hi Maverick,

I don't have direct experience, but perhaps I can contribute some information that may help (or prompt another reply)?

Triumph themselves produced two sets of replacement "mufflers" for the Adventurer. The first were the standard looking 'offroad' silencers (Part# A9950041 [pair]), and secondly they produced Slash Cut "silencers" (Part# A9608012 [pair]}.

Good luck.

even the TOR pipes for the T-bird will fit...those are easier to come by than the adventurer ones

G'day Maverick

I traded my 98 Adventurer to a Sprint ST in 04, in that time I had fitted a set of genuine Triumph slash cut mufflers to the Adventurer. These not only looked great but sound fantastic, a deep throatly roar. I have some photographs of the old bike if you are interested.

By the way I still have the mufflers, I refitted the stock mufflers when I traded. I posted them on the classified section yesterday. Might be a bit pricey shipping to the USA. If you are interested I have a mate living in Minneapolis who travels back and forwards, his next trip is in February, I might be able to convince him to carry the mufflers back.
