Low fuel light came on on my 98 t-509, about 10 miles later the bike stalled going down the highway and the low fuel light came on. It started right up and i drove it to the nearest gas station (about 5 miles away) Filled it up and drove it to a buddies. engine light is still on. I let it cool and started it up again, (3 or 4 heat cycles) and the light went out. Hasn't come back on. Just wanted to let everyone know about my expereince and find out if anyone knows why my bike would stall? with only 10 miles into the reserve.

1..I've found that guages and lights are notoriously inaccurate.

2..Being that low in fuel, you may have pulled a speck of dirt or some contaminant into the line that had been sitting on the bottom of the tank.

The more miles you put on the more fillups the more chance for contamination. Also try using dry gas from time to time as a preventative for water condensation.
