Does anyone out there know if the ECU or computer could be reprogramed for a 94 Tiger, to fit a 96 Trident engine.

I want to replace my 94Tigers engine with a 96 Trident engine and I want to use the Tigers ECU. I want to avoid spending extra money to buy a Trident ECU.
If I could simply just get it reprogramed. :hammer:

I don't think reprogramming is necessary for the engine to work, but you'll be limited to the Tiger's lower rev limiter.

If you want the increased rev limit:

I remember reading a thread about a guy at a specific dealership that could modify them, but I haven't been able to track it down.

I did find this one though:
Rev limit thread

I just might have to try it (although I can't afford to fry an ignitor box after all my winter mods, let us know if it works)

The Tiger engine has different cams than that of the Trident. So if you were wishing more power from your Tiger both the cams and the carburation will need to be tended too. The ECU can be reprogrammed but in the process the original settings will be lost of course - Erico Motorsports - speak to these guys they maybe able to help further as to reprograming. :-D
