Maybe it's advancing old age, but I seem to recall a discussion about a paint supplier that will load spray cans with color-matched paint.

Did I imagine this, or can someone shed light on who provides this service?

My friend wants to repaint his bike but is having trouble finding the right paint to match.

Your memory has not let you down. Take the paint codes to Wiltse Paint, just north of Telegraph Rd. on Dixie Highway in Waterford. Dave will mix anything you need and put it in spray cans if you request it. He is also an excellent source of know-how.

I forgot to mention that Standoz Paint is the supplier of paint to Triumph. I have their phone number at work if you need it. Dave researched the numbers I took him to get the perfect color match.

I'd ask any decent paint supplier. Most should have the capability to can the stuff if you ask. I buy paint locally from a small outfit and never thought about spray bomb custom paint or them having the ability to can paint until I needed a small amount. So I just asked for the heck of it and they said yes.
