So here I am trying to get the hideous RS stickers off of the sides of my 2000 Sprint RS (to show off more of the hypnotizing Lucifer Orange color). The problem is, the stinking glue backing won't come off. The facing comes off easily enough with sufficient fingernail action, but the glue is driving me nutz!!!

Tried: Goo Gone, mineral spirits, non-actone fingernail polish remover.

Results: nothing

Any help for this moto-newbie?

Try WD-40. It worked on TT600 decal goo.

This may sound CRAZY....But....smear Peanut Butter(smooth, not chunky) over the entire area...
The oils in it will eat away at the adhesive(ANY TYPE) over night.
The best thing is there is NO CHANCE of damaging the finish on the bike, never mind the great smell....GOOD LUCK

WD-40 (soaked for an hour): nothing
peanut butter (left over night): nothing

I think those stickers are out to get me. Maybe I can ride so fast that the goo blows off. Maybe I can ride so slow that the goo becomes bored and falls off.

I appreciate the help (boy do I need it). :-D

Be cautious with the WD-40. It does work very well, but depending on the cloth you use to clean the WD-40 off, you could scratch the paint. I use my fingers to rub it around causing the glue to ball up for easy lifting off the paint. Only my thoughts...........
