Thanks again. You guys are great! One question, though. It seems that I still have some oil comming out of the air box drain tube, but Im not blowing smoke any more. Since the oil (im guessin) came in through the crank case vent tube, and the tube/valve is a "one way" unit, could there be a chance that it still has some oil in it and its pulling the oil into the air box? Could I undo the crank case tube and drain the rest of the oil out of it?
Thanks again!
Chris

best thing is to open the airbox and give it a proper clean out/check the filter at the same time.

Worth a shot, if you can get to it easily. Also check your oil level, if it is too high the excess will be blown out the breather into the airbox.

dont worry about this pipe, it will not be full of oil as it will have been sucked intot he airbox now. the reason that you are still getting oil out is that the inside of the airbox, and the filter etc will still be coated in oil. This will take a while to clear itself.

Do not, under any circumstances be tempted to remove the left hand engine cover as you will destroy the breather seal, the replacement of which has a special procedure. If you destroy this seal you will constantly pump oil up the breather into the airbox. Just ask LegendGirl, she had this seal fail.

Bottom line is clean out the airbox and filter as already advised. Keep checking the drainplug regularly for a while and thank your lucky stars that you didnt damage your engine in this tip over.

As a general rule, if the bike falls on the left hand side, pull the drain plug before staring it. If it does it whilst running pull the plugs and chase it over to get the oil out before re-starting. I was amazed that Triumphs had this problem with left side tip overs, and didn't believe it the first time I heard of it, but have since heard of several bikes that sustained serious damage from it when the fell over whilst running.

If in doubt with any of this Chris, get it tothe dealer to be done.

I had the dealer replace the left side engine cover, and I checked the crankcase hose. It had a little oil in it. Im haveing the dealer check/clean the air box on friday, and I may replace the filter if needed. Is there a chance that the dealer could have damaged the seal when installing the engine cover? This dealer that Ive been dealling with sells mostly Jap bikes so Im now starting to wonder if they replaced the engine cover correctly.......
