Just got a new Metzeler MEZ4 for the back of my Legend. This is the second one of these I've had. They're only good for about 6000 miles, but I like how they feel.

Nothing looks like a new rear tire. :-D

I love the MEZ4s.. I've managed to get almost 12,000 miles out of mine.. and the rear is pretty squared off.. (too many highway miles, not enough curves!)
I believe I could have gotten a little more, but I fell to the temptation to leave some rubber a couple of times.
They are EXCELLENT in the wet..

I often think that the tyre pressures quoted by Triumph are way too high- that must lead to premature wear.

I am running 34-30 on my T-Bird now instead of the recomended 42-36, but I'm still experimenting.

I definitely think that the ride is better and that I get more feedback from the tyres.
I know this subject is a can of worms, so it's just my personal opinion.

I've spoken to a Metzeler representative, and he recommends running the tire pressure HIGHER than Triumph recommends. I'm going to try it with this new tire.
