I have a 1960 T110, I was riding one day and stopped to get something to eat. Bike was running fine, When I went to kick it and leave, It had alot more compression than before and would not start (kick or push start - both failed). In fact I broke the kotter pin on the kick start lever because it was actually binding up. I took the side covers off of the motor and trans and also the primary cover and nothing was catching that I could see. I took the spark plugs out and the compression was gone. Could it be that it jumped time or valves not opening? It couldn't be spun mains because it would be tight with the plugs out....right? Any help is very much appreciated and I thank you for your time! Hammer.

Yes.

But "could" doesn't mean a lot in the long run. When you say you removed the plugs and "the compression was gone," that's a bit ambiguous. What exactly happened after you put the plugs back in...or did you? Of all the things you removed, did you happen to open the valve inspection ports and see if they were, in fact, being opened?

Sorry. When I put the plugs back in the compression was still extremely high. I am going to take off the inspection caps and verify the valves are lifting.

Found and corected problem. Valve was not opening so I took off rocker box and the pushrod had fallen off. replaced it and set valve clearence, rode it down the street and back. Ran fine. Thanks for the heads up on the valves Diego! Hammer.
