OK, so I am riding my new Daytona 955i (just got her...beautiful 03 straight from the showroom) and I have only one complaint....

the shifter is designed for Oompa-Loompa feet.

I have a size 13, and honestly, it is annoying, jamming my toe in and out of the given clearance...it's just not enough room!

Has anyone run into this problem before???

Is there a vendor that makes a shifter that is shorter in over-all length than the stock job?

Should I just put on some orange face paint and wear some striped overalls and call it a day?

Any help is appreciated!

Thanks,
Ski

Are you sure about that?

You could just have your feet re-sized to fit the bike......
(sorry couldn't resist)

I have found that the type of boot can make a big difference. Although I don't have size 13's I was having similar problems when I wore my timberland boots instead of my Oxtar riding boots.

A buddy of mine cut the shifter lever foot peg shorter so he could get his foot under it easier. (this was on a Buell)

Yeah, the boots make a difference. My Alpinestars fit great, but my daily riders are too big.

I looked at re mounting the shifter peg, itself, further toward the fulcrum, but it's one piece.

Hmmm....sounds like a job for E-Bay.

I'll post what I find when I find it!

Thanks,
Ski

Rizoma makes adjustable rear sets. http://www.rizoma.com
They only list for the speed triple on the site, but I have actually emailed the customer service there and he said they would fit. Double check with them if you want. Another member is actually selling a set in the parts classified section. I was going to buy them off him, but they would put my knee right into the fairing. I have a size 14 shoe and am 6'4''. i don't know how tall you are, but you should check it out. Shoes do make a difference. I wear driving shoes or indoor soccer shoes when I ride.
