Just installed a BRAKING wave rotor on my thruxton. The office digital postal scale confirms the wave rotor to be 1 pound and 10.6 ounces lighter than the stock unit. A pretty good weight savings and the "lack" of rotor also makes cleaning that outer portion of the rear hub easier. Also fits bonnevilles and scramblers. Still waiting on arrival of the front wave . Very cool looking. Since I don't know any better I will ask....what are the benefits of a wave rotor over a normal looking one?

Tom - part of the reasoning follows from Hard racings website. They are also very light. JCW

Efficient design evenly utilizes all brake pad surface and eliminates lightening holes, which adds strength. Wave Rotors are able to expand and contract as they heat up without warping. Rotors provide maximum stopping power while remaining perfectly flat.
