Hey Slinky,
Part of the reason that a little oil leaks from the airbox is because the two halves of the airbox need to be sealed with silicone sealer when put back together. Then, instead of leaking out of the crack between the two halves, which is the "low" point in the airbox, it would have to work its way to the airbox overflow tube where it's supposed to go. But what do I know, I'm just a Triumph owner. Sorry, I'm tired from the BMW rally and I get sarcastic. Anyway, HTH.
Ride hard! LegendGirl :-D

I pulled quite a bit out from the drain hose when I pulled the plug, now I have a rag stuffed in the space which I'll leave for a few days.
After a good hard run down to the coast and back today ( hot sun and a day off work) the drip seems to have stopped.

The Legend is back at the dealership for a second crack at the oil coming from the airbox (Great Bay this time). Apparently, the first time this was "repaired", just the crankcase breather seal was replaced; I've since learned that the seal AND the centrifugal breather must be replaced.
Anyway, hopefully this will fix it for good. I'll keep you posted.

Good to hear you got your oil leak fixed. If one or more Triumph models had a recurring oil leak problem and there was no warranty fix, Triumph might not survive, I haven't had an oil leak on any bike I have owned that was made in the last 30 years. Any oil leak on a modern bike means sloppy design, engineering, component manufacturing or assembly, and the only one that can be fixed is slopply assembly, as in your case.
