I brought my bike back from the dealer and checked for loose connections, etc. Didn't find any. I fired it up and check the Resistance in the plug wires after it got warmed up. The right hand wire had half the Resistance of the left hand wire. I shut it off, pulled the wires and checked them, same in both wires. Ditto for the plugs. The source of my dying on the highway must be from the coil. Is there anything I overlooked? Your help is appreciated. I also looked at my CDI box and at the bottom edge there is a gap between the black sealant and the lower edge of the unit. Does anyone elses look like this? Also, could someone check their Bonneville and see if they get the same resistance in the plug wires after it has warmed up. Again, thanks.
