Having fitted the de rstricted carb rubbers , everything seems to have gone wrong It won't idle and seems to run on only 2 cylinders until about 3500 rpm. I've done a coil check - all showing the same values (they are PVL so shouldn't have the same problem as Gill). But each time at tickover it seems that cylinder 1 is not firing. If I pull off the LT connection from coil 1 when the bike is at tickover - no difference, but if I try the same with coil 2 or 3 it stalls but when I do the same thing at 3000 rpm , all of the coils seem to be working as the revs drop by the same amount.
Could it be a too lean mixture in just cylinder 1 which sorts itself once it comes on mains?
Does backing the mixture screws (pilot) to 2 turns out seem ridiculous? I presume the further out they get , the more fuel goes in , which should make combustion more likely!!

Any help gratefully recived - I have read through the classic tuning tips but they seem to deal with the Keihins not the Mikunis' I have.

This symptom sounds like a vacuum leak.
I would start checking the seal on the new carb to head rubbers.
