I think I may have just posted this in the wrong section, so I'll repeat it here:

"Hello all. I'm new to Triumph and this site. I just got a hardtail with a 67 650 in it. I have questions. It's been modified somewhat. First, the primary is open; that is it's dry. I'm told this is a somewhat common thing to do. My question is, how do you lubricate it? Thanks."

Thanks.

If it is an open chain primary, then clean and lube like the drive chain. If it is a belt, then just hose off dust and debris with water. Another thing, dry clutches often aren't very fond of water, so try not to soak the clutch.
