AFAIK, 02 was the first year of the new generation of the 955 motor, since 02 is the first year of the 147HP daytona 955..
Can't definitively help beyond that.

The Tiger was the only Triumph using the new 955 motor in 01. The old motor had a sight glass rather than a dipstick.

The engines are signifigantly different from 2001 to 2002. There are enough different parts as to eliminate much interchanging. The cases and covers are not swappable.

IF however, you are doing a swap, the motor mounts are the same, but you will need all ancillaries, such as the airbox, brain, and wiring harness.

the 02+ is a better all around lump, but finding a low mileage 00-01 might be more cost effective. :-g

Try these guys...... Sprint Mfg.

They know what will fit between years and models for ALL parts and carry new and used stuff. Sandy is the resident expert to talk to. They ship world wide too.
