Trying to remove top yoke. Under the ignition switch there is a guard that has a hook that goes under a latch that is on the neck which keeps the whole unit from lifting up. Problem ,not able to get the screws out, 4mm socket doesn't seem to do the job. Anyone know what kind of bolts or screws they are. I would like to get the fairing and clipons on before I freak out totally and pull the tubes out :???: :???: :???: :???: :???:

Those screwheads have been broken at the factory, because of stealing security. Youll have to pull out the forks, loose the nut on top yoke, take of the tank and over turn top yoke so much that hook of steering lock gets free.

Just done that to my `95 S3.

Kinda figured I would have to pull the tubes. Did what you said got it off. But I have a lot less hair
