Tried the search function first, but it came back with nothing worthwhile, dammit. Need to change plugs on my 02 standard Bonnie. Those suckers look to be way down in there and bloody little clearance. None of the sockets I have want to grab it. What do I need to get.

Also, what plugs are compatible? No way I'm going eighty miles to the dealership. Like they'd have any in stock anyway. They had to order my frikkin clutch cover gasket.

Thanks in advance,

Michael

MG....you'd need an 18 MM thin walled deep socket to get to the plugs.
As far as plugs go, I got the NGK iridium plugs from Newbonneville.com which seem to work real well. I don't know right off what the actual part number of the plugs is,

The standard plugs are NGK DPR9EA-9, you should be able to get them from pretty much any bike shop.

The iridium plugs are NGK DPR9EIX-9

I went to Sears and bought a Craftsman 18mm spark plug socket and it works fine. The standard one must be thin walled enough. I bought the plugs form the local dealer and they were under $6 for two of them.
