Needed a set of ignition wires for the '96 Sprint. My supplier said that Triumph get something like 57 pounds sterling for the three. He contacted the manufacturer and was able to buy direct although he can only get the longest wire -- which simply means, he says, bundling up the extra length somewhere. Price - 33 pounds for three. Got to find out what other bikes these are supplied to.

Someone has probably mentioned that Buell X-1 blinkers looks great on T3s and cost less than $20 for a pair.

I’ve also seen quite a few Buell flyscreens on Triumphs. They used to be dirt cheap, but I think prices have gone up. I believe the Blast flyscreen still goes for under $30, though.

And it looks to me like the switchgear on the new XB9s are the same unit as the ones on my Trident.

Early Daytona / S3 fork caps can be used on the non-adjustable Tridents, but you don’t get the full range of adjustability, of course.

I just came across this thread on the T595 site about fuel filters for the FI engines. The Triumph one is a bit expensive but it looks like the BMW or Ducati can be used. There is a comment about the early BMW ones only being suited to a lower pressure system.

It is interesting to note that the adjustable levers from a ZX11 will fit on a Triumph, but are all the Triumph adjustable levers the same fitting regardless of color? ie: will Speed3 levers replace those on a TBS?

Also, does anyone know of an equivalance in gear levers and brake levers or are these Triumph specific?

I'm led to believe that the carbs on triumphs are same as early GSXR carbs. So theres another interchangeable part. The dipswitch for the headlights on my T3/4 bitsa is from a suzuki ap50 moped!!!

Speaking of interchangeable parts, has anyone attempted to fit or heard of anyone fitting passenger floorboards on BA. Aftermarket I believe is the only place to find them. :???:

Triumph use Nissin brakes across the range and the levers are supplied by Nissin (who also supply the same to Kawasaki). The speed Triple lever would fit your TBS but the clutch lever wont as the Speed Triple (well the 955 triple) uses a cable operated clutch.

When it comes to the gear shift and rear brake lever, yes these are Triumph OEM parts, and you wont find them on any other makes.

I was looking for a cross reference for Honda Oil Filters, and ran across this link. It has cross references for many makes, including Triumph, with a few different brands of filters.
