Could this thread be sorted out into certain areas ie TBS,s ,trophy,s Daytona,s ,RIII,s etc,
If so it could be one of the most valuable sites on the Triumph Ratnet.

G'day all, how about fairings and body work. I really like the newer Daytone front fairing, are the newer ones interchangeable with the '02 ones?

I have a 95 Concours that uses the vacuum controlled petcock. This is one of the main problems with this bike. There are countless threads on the Concours owners web site (Concours.org) regarding this issue.
It seems that the diaphragm fails and lets gas leak through to the carbs ( no overflow drains from the float bowel) . If the gas gets past the carbs in to the cylinders and you hit the starter, BENT rods.
The Concours guys are all looking into manual conversions.
I'll use the Pingel conversion on my next replacement, my third time.

This is just info if anyone is interested. I know the air filter thread has been beat to death but I'm just adding some nice to know stuff.

I bought my K&N Air filter from Auto Zone. I had to order it special, only took 2 days but buying it from the Auto parts store saved me shipping charges. The K&N filter for a 2005 TB America is only $42.75 plus tax.
The manager will have to pull out his K&N Performance book because the motorcycle filters are not on their computers, at least this store in Indy.

Hope this information helps someone! :-g

Now here is question in regards to the oil filters: Who is the actual manufacturer of the filters that Triumph puts their name on?
Triumph pn#T1210444 fits my 02 ST and is made by Toyo Roki mfg., Japan.

I'm currently running a Purolator P14612 oil filter. which is a little longer for easier removal.

Also, the Purolator 20011 fuel filter is a clear plastic unit, fine for a carb but which I definitely wouldn't recommend for 40psi fuel injection applications.

Thank you---happy trails kel

I run the Purolator PL14610 on my Speed Four...it's the same filter as I use on my Nissan 3.3 & 3.5 V6 motors, & you just won't find a better filter for the money. It has a bit more oil capacity as well. Check out the above link for interesting background info on oil filter construction.

I am about to use the same filteron my 04 sprint st , although I am tempted to try to fit the longer one, and mobile 1 truck&SUV sythn.

What I do need, or wish, is a brake pedal, which I driely need!!

anyone ever mount one up to a 00-04 sprint let me know

Thanks.

Ref brake and clutch lever's

T3 models all share the same adjustable levers which are also common with Kawasaki
ZX7,ZXR750,ZX900B1/2/3,GTR1000,ZX10,ZR11,ZX1100C1/2/3 and D1/2/3

Just make sure they are 2 part ie adjustable.

Question: can I fit the larger discs (rotor's) from the Trophy,Speed Triple,Daytone to my Trident?

Want to upgrade the front calipers with Kawasaki/Suzuki items, but has discovered the Trident runs smaller front discs than the other T3 models :???:
