I'm thinking of installing the Staintune 3-2 exhaust system on my Sprint Executive (low mufflers, because of the bags). Does anyone out there have one of these systems from Staintune? How does it fit? How's the bike run? What's the price?

I'm in the process of installing the 3-4-2-1 system on my 98 Thunderbird Sport. My system had to be special ordered as it was not stocked by the distributor CBT Imports. Unfortunately the lower water pipe did not make the trip from the factory with the rest of the unit.

There are no instructions or a packing list of materials so the missing part was discovered during installation. But, they fit up very nicely.

I would recommend ordering the exhaust to head gaskets (3) and the O-ring for the lower water pipe (1), if you have to replace that on your T3 model engine, from your Triumph dealer in advance. They are not included with the system so I am waiting for those as well.

I contacted Staintune asking about using a silicone sealer at the pipe unions, their response was to do that. I am using Permatex High-Temp RTV Silicone gasket maker. I have used it on my OE exhaust system, worked great.

The fit and finish of this system is impressive. I can't wait to get it installed.

I can't speak for price, I purchased my bike with the Staintunes already installed. The fit and finish is exellent and the sound is intoxicating!!! It is a little on the loud side but not obnoxious. A deep roar. I love them! :-D There is a picture of my bike somewhere in the photo album. It is the Super III Daytona.
