Does anyone know how to adjust the headlights on an RS? I bought this bike and it has no owners manual. These lights are driving me up a wall. The low beam is right in front of the bike about 30 feet and the high beam is up in the trees.
Ideally it would be great if when the high beam switch is thrown both low and high beam come on simultaneously.
Painless wiring has a setup for cages where you can do this. I have it on my truck and love it. Is there a manufacturer that provides this for bikes? I don't know of any.
Thanks

If it's anything like the T595 Daytona, there'll be two screws at the back of each headlamp unit - one on the side and one at the back.

The adjustment screws on the sides are for horizontal movement and the ones on the back are for vertical movement.

Assuming both headlamps are correctly aligned horizontally, all you need to do is position the bike roughly two car lengths away from a wall, get someone to sit on the bike then measure the height from the ground to the headlamp centre, make a mark on the wall at the same height as previously measured, switch the headlights on, switch to high beam and adjust the vertical movement screws until the top of the beam pattern falls on the marks on the wall.

That's it.

As for having both headlamps on dip at the same time, all you need to do there is fit the missing relay - it's the same type as the existing headlight one.

It's missing because of some dumbass Euro regulation that says that car drivers can't differentiate a bike with two headlights from a car at a distance.

Sorted.... :upthumb:

Blew,

send me your e-mail address and I'll scan the page on adjusting and send it. I also have a 00 sprint owners manual in PDF if you'd like.

John
