I had a 94 model 1200 but sold it to a friend of mine, I missed it so much I managed to find a 1993 model.
The differance between the two is the 6 spoke mag wheels on the 93 model vis the 3 spoke on the 94 model.
The problem is the rear wheel on the 93 model is an 18 inch rim and can only take a 160 tyre and not a 180 tyre.
If I change to a 17 inch rim how much will the speedometer be affected and what other problems will I find? :???:

Speedo runs off the front wheel so no error if you change the back, I think the fronts are the same size between the 6 and 3 spoke items.

I'd stick with the 160 section tyre. Changing tyre sizes and profiles can seriously mess about with the geometry and handling.
Your Tiger only has a 150 section rear. Is that any slower around the bends?

My Daytona 1200 was down on power at the mid range and top end, my first reaction was the main jets must be too small but after talking to a Triumph bofin I was advised to check the diaframs for small holes or splits.
I opened the top of the carbs and eventually found one of the needles had broken off at the clip and was laying in the main jet, no wonder it was down on power.
My thoughts are the needle must be rotaing and the clip wears through the groove, any idears how to prevent this? :???:
