From experience i can tell you it will be a long and possibly painful and expensive wait for you to find rails and bags(or paniers, aftr all they are british bikes). The OEM bags and rails for the adventurer fit fairly nice and do not obstruct the passenger's pegs, much.

Happy hunting!

agree on the cost for the panniers. recently picked up a pair of leather bags from a friend of mine. ( they fit perfect). have a friend who is a metal worker and in an hour, had the rails made for me. we had to drill out the pilot holes in the seat rail, but just mounted everything today. would be happy to supply at least bag dimensions or send a pic if it would help.

Hi, A picture or picture(s) would help a lot thanks!
I also have an Adventurer which I'm struggling to fit saddlebags for. THe problem isbn't getting the original Adventurer leather bags (maybe coz I live in the UK!) The problem is getting a mounting kit/rail for them. If you coudl send a pic so that I can what sort of thing I could do, I'll have one made up specially.

Many thanks.

ah ha!
Poor boy's time to shine.

2 bungees (or rope if your cheaper than I). I even used blue ones so they'd match the bike. One on each side. One end around the rear indicator shaft and the other to the passender footpeg. This set up will provide a surface a few inches away from the tire and will still allow a pillion rider. Used this trick with a cheapo pair of leather(?) saddlebags and did 9,000mi. No problems.

Check it.

If your still looking, i sold my adventurer and still have the bags and rails... they're in the classified section, make me an offer and be prepared to haggle some if it's not quite what I want

I also have a set of hard bags and mounting bracket in there if you're looking for a project at about half the price.
