Take a look at
http://www.trackstore.co.uk/brightbulbs.html
and the model E90258 H4 55/100w bulb

Do you think this would be OK in my 1996 Trident ? Would I need to modify any of the electrics to run such a high wattage as the standard bulb is a 55/60w bulb? I run on my dipped beam during daytime and want as high viz as I can be within the single headlamp. Any other comments? I will be running with it off road .....of course :hihi:

If you use a PIAA Superwhite, or something similar, you don't have to worry, since you get the light output without the added wattage.

Yeah, downunder we have Philips Vision Plus; same watts, more light. Not sure if they're available in H4.

The 'stock' wire gage used by Triumph is marginal at best even for a 55/65 Watt bulb. Stick with the stock wattages or you stand the chance of frying a socket or two (not a Big deal) or melting the wiring harness! (A BIG DEAL) The BEST bulbs for the money that aren't a bunch of Korean blue ***** or outrageously overpriced 'Bling' designed for a dimwit with a Honda Accord who thinks it's a race car is a set of OSRAM Silverstars. They provide 50% more light than a standard bulb are not a stupid price and will last as long as a standard bulb. (most of the crappy Korean stuff dies in a month or two!) You can get them HERE for around $30.00 a set and they ship world wide for free. They sell the same bulb branded in their own box for a couple of dollars less as well. You need to look in the 'Bulbs Types' section for available H-4 bulbs. It will be in the Power Plus H-4 brand. Hell if you can't find them (you have to look for them) the genuine stuff is still a deal! You can get them on E-BAY as well but you will pay shipping and have to wait for the auction to end first.

Never mind the E-Bay listing; I just noticed you're in the UK! There are some UK E-Bay sales, but why bother!
