Front brake light switch

The front brake light switch on my T160 has a lame design (a set screw in the brake lever that backs away from it when you apply the brake). I don't know what other models have that. I've disassembled and cleaned the switch, but it's still intermittent. Sometimes doesn't turn off; sometimes doesn't turn on. That part doesn't appear to be available separate from the switch housing assembly.

Does anyone have a work-around?

Ken

The later T140s (mine is a 79) has an inline hydraulic switch.

I'd say that it would be easy to fit and wouldn't be easy to see if you're worried about that kind of thing.

Brilliant!

Thank you Dave. I care more about safety than appearance, so I will get that switch.

my bike - not a good photo

the unit is at the top of the picture and there is a solid pipe through the yoke to the three way splitter.
