I would like to get rid of the clutch lever and cables on the bars and try to clean up the bars (I have very bad OCD and am extremely anal about clean lines and clutter sometimes to a fault). Does anyone have an opinion on that twist clutch assembly in that link? I've been told the clutch on the t150 is finicky and not like a "normal" clutch set up. The folks with clutch knowledge on these bikes and by looking at the exile set up...do you think this could work?*

*

I know it's vague noob question but I'm working my through the font end and I'm ordering parts this week. I don't want to order it if for sure it won't work.*

*

Thanks in advance,

*

Nate

so its been a few weeks and no response on the twist clutch question so I assume no one knows the answer...on to something a little bit more basic...

rims...to re plate or buy new...??

local shop will do $175 per rim ....good deal? take a look at th rims - theyre in rough shape. If price doesn't make sense and it makes more sense to buy a reproduction or something anyone have a recommendation on where to find them? Is anyone selling original dunlops or are they all repro's? fair price per rim for new?

I wouldn't do the clutch or hide everything I think you may want another bike if you want to customize a bike just my thought. The wheel pictures are kinda of small 175 seems kinda of expensive to chrome the wheel are tearing them down and reassembling or are you ?

If cast wheels from late-70s Bonneville T140E fit the Trident, I'd give up on spoked wheels in an instant.

If I want to customize my bike I should get another bike? Genius statement. Went with a chrome powder coat on the rim 80 bucks, 3 bucks a spoke, .25 a nut
