I thought I'd post a few pictures of my bike.

66 speed twin
Hello. Would anyone have any ideas about replacing a nacelle with a tiger headlight.
My nacelle is a little banged up so I'm thinking of finding headlight mounting brackets and switching to a tiger lamp, and putting a speedo, etc... on the handle bars.
I suppose anything is possible, but does this seem to be a decent approach to dealing with a poor nacelle.
Any help very much appreciated.

How bad is it?

Do you have a part number?
If your not dead set to remove it. It may be possible to repair or
replace it.

Thanks for the reply.
The truth is that the nacelle isn't perfect but very fixable. I'm trying to maybe simplify things by going the other route. Eg. Buying mounting brackets and mounting headlamp, etc...
I thought this would clean up the front of the bike and give my the option of changing handle bars and making it more cafe.
Thanks Don
I'll try to get pics tomorrow

I think I may have finally figured out how to send photos. The problem I was having was that my camera settings were not right and using too much memory space ( I think ).
Anyways, here is a few pics of my bike. I'm not sure what to do about the nacelle in particular; rebuild, or redo bike with a separate headlight, speedo, etc...

So what exactly is wrong with your nacelle? Aside from needing a wash.

I'll swap you even, a standard headlight shell and mounting ears, for all the nacelle stuff.
Fresh chrome headlight shell, fresh powdercoated ears.
I'll pay postage.

As you can see, the nacelle isn't in bad shape. The bike has a 66 frame, a 70 tiger engine, and a 71 or 72 fork set. Now the nacelle didn't fit the front end well, so the previous owner sort of banged into place.
I'm thinking of simplifying the bike (it's a parts bike anyways) with a separate headlight, speedo, etc... But i'm not really sure the logistics to do so, this is my first bike. So i'm trying to decide what to do.
Thanks GPZ for the offer. That may by the way i'll go.

About this nacelle, are you talking about the three main pieces: Eg top and bottom left, bottom right.
The reason I ask. The nacelle threads into the top of the headset, which is tapped. Is this something you need, or do you have.

All the nacelles that I've seen have welded legs and are in top/bottom units not split like yours. some don't have the legs but I assume are two piece not three
Unless there's a version that I've never seen then I think that sopmebody's "got at" yours to make it fit.
As your bike is a BITSA then maybe the headlight on ears is the way to go - but you'll need to figure out where to mount the speedo (and how) plus the ignition if it was headlight based
