Almost there..72 TR6
Got this bike from my bro, after he rode it for almost 30 years. He recently put together a new ride and this was just sitting in his garage. I asked him what he was doing with it, and joked if I could have it. On my birthday in August I recieved the title in the mail, and he shipped it across the country to me. I rode it for three weeks, and decided to redo the whole thing. I'm almost there..
I tried to attach photos of the day I got it, and how it is today, three months later.

Nice bike! I think you owe your brother a nice dinner. I agree this is a great site, with old threads and new threads that have a lot of great info.

Yeah, if you had a brother you could give him your motorcycle.

hee hee
My late brother was a real piece of work. When he was a kid, I taught him to ride and would let him ride my dirt bike, then my first street bike, and pretty much every bike I had from then on.
When he started making serious bucks (nurse anesthetist), he'd call me and ask about buying bikes. I'd help him out, test ride them, etc. He'd get "tired" of one and move on to the next, selling the "old" one to me at less than 1/2 price after putting a couple hundred miles on it.
I bought nearly every bike he ever owned from him (5 out of 6), with the exception of a Honda Ascot 500 thumper (one of my employees needed transportation, and I helped him buy it). I still have two of them, a 76 RD400 (that also belonged to our older brother), and a '72 Honda CB750F (that is identical to one our older brother owned). My son-in-law has a 3rd one of those, an '86 Kawasaki Concourse.
We had many a good ride together including a cold camping trip on our big Kawasakis.
I sure miss that kid...
Will, you need to hug that brother of yours and tell him you love him. mushy? sure, but you'll miss being able to do so when he's gone.

I think your brother made a wise decision by passing the bike on to you. I'll bet he's very pleased with what you're doing with it.

He knew I would do it right..under one condition...I can never sell it..I have to keep it in the family. You should see it now, pictures don't do it justice.
