While I'm not a bad mechanic, I'm not a machinist, and I'm still very much a novice/learner in all things Trumpy........

so from where I sit, I think the word applies......

And you guys are all the best Triumph teachers I know of.....yeah, I've heard rumors of other sites that look down on this one, but I don't live there as I do here......

Hi GN,

Some things are slowly happening, I've been slowly buying more parts.
I've bought a lower yoke from GPZ, a pair of Dunstall clip ons from one of the guys over on the access Norton forum and I've accidentally bought two Commando front drums (one only cost 17 GBP!). Although I may not use them.

I tried to buy a Grimeca Twin TLS but everywhere is out of stock, apparently Grimeca have stopped making them to concentrate on a large railway contract they've won.
My hand made alloy gas tank should arrive later this week. I've also finished the engine mounting plates.
I'll be posting some pics when I get home next week, I've been traveling all over Europe for work for the last three weeks.

Then I'm off at the end of the month to a large bike show in Italy, I'm looking forward to what parts I might find there.

All the best

Webby, how would you like a Suzuki 4LS front wheel complete?

I'm about to have a spare soon...

Hi GPZ,

I might take one, although I only need the hub unless it's laced to an 18" alloy rim.

I'm off to a big bike show at the end of the month, If I don't find anything there I'll give you a shout.

All the best

Brian

PS: Thanks for shipping out the lower yoke, it arrived yesterday

That is a good brake. I have one in my stash for a future project. Although I have heard some mention that it is no more effective than a TLS brake. I tend to think that opinion is probably due to improper set up.

regards,
Rob

I can always free the hub from the OEM suzuki steel rim.

(it also has the axle)

I'll wait till I've been to Italy. I'm told I can find almost anything there. If I don't find what I'm looking for I'll let you know.

All the best

This arrived in the post whilst I was away, it was ordered from TAB II Classics in Wales (Great service, Richard the owner seems like a great bloke and a very good price 385 GBP plus shipping)

Fits a treat

Wow, that's a beauty, Webby. Looks like a big silver Jello mould. That guy is very talented.

So, do you have it in a locked room surrounded by pillows until you can put it on the bike?

regards,
Rob
