Hi All,
I've been lurking around on this site for a while now, and a few of you have been asking for pics of my rebuild, so here goes, I hope they are of some use to someone
First up there are a few pics of my carbs, one before they were dismantled, one once I tore them to pieces, as you can see old fuel had been left sitting in them for a few years, thankfully the carbs had been stored on their sides so they were quite easy to clean, so they've been bead blasted, soaked in a hot tricol tank and then finished in an ultrasonic cleaner (see pic 3). Of course, they were reassembled with new jets, needles and gaskets.

Reason: another photo
Here's a few pics of my bike, the day I got it from Baxter Cycle in the US (very good to deal with) The frame and most of the metal bits had already been powder coated which saved a lot of time and money.
What I didn't count on was the import tax which was a bit of a shock!
Thanks for the info, I'll have a look, the problem is I've already taken several hundred photos (many just for reference) so something to downsize them would be perfect.
The white stuff in the carbs is some sort of residue from the fuel being mixed with water, almost like calcium, I'm sure someone out there will be able to give a scientific explanation, all I know is it's a bitch to remove! Also I've been told it is worse with US fuels than European Fuels (the additives maybe?)
I finished the carbs off with a wire brush on a drill to polish them up.
You're doin a good job there Webby,
its scary sanding casings the first time.
Your carb where a right mess and I see they where also glued together, I bet it was a nasty stuff called "Foliac" thread sealer, it is petrol proof though.
A T150 I bought was stuck together with the stuff including the oil pump gasket,
guess what happened to it
Thanks for the photobucket link Plewsy, it seems to work OK.
Shrugger, I tried Gimp 2.0 but it did not work on Mac OS X, but thanks for the suggestion.
I figure I'll just leave the photos as they are, a lot were just taken for reference before I pulled stuff apart, hopefully they will of some use to someone out there.
