1936 350cc Triumph

Hi there!

Here are some pictures of my old Triumph I got in my cellar http://cinas2.webd.pl/triumph/

I would like to restore that bike during the summer and I need any help from forum members to determine exact model of that Triumph. I need that to find an information, datasheets, contact to people keen on that stuff and so on.

Thanks in advance for any help, do not hesitate to ask any questions or for more pictures!

Very interesting. Definitely looks pre-war2 but not like any UK built Triumph. Forks and seats look very wrong and more like German bikes of the period. There was TWN (Triumph Werke Nurnberg) www.cybermotorcycle.com/gallery/twn/index.htm but not sure that is the answer. Will try to investigate further. Where are you located?

Hi,

I'm in Poland. According to the Internet pictures, my bike is made out of two others. For example a speedometer, and maybe the lamp also, are russian, second seat is not original at all, also fork looks like a Zundapp's.

I had taken to pieces the engine, I put detailed pictures of it here http://cinas2.webd.pl/triumph/silnik/ Can you identify it?

I thought it might be a hybrid. Still looks good.

I agree about forks looking like a Zundapp's. That was my first thought. I saw some here at a swapmeet recently.

I'll show the pics around to some of the crew here (Australia) & see what they reckon.

cinas - any engine or parts with numbers/letters stamped on them?

cheers
cc

I found the gear box is English and have a GU48617 number on it. It seems to be Burman's GU transmission. Anyone has a manual or any documents that covers that part?

cc_rider - What is your gearbox? Does the 350 have a original Burman's? U can see the numbers of the engine in the pictures I gave. Take a look here http://cinas2.webd.pl/triumph/silnik/

Have search for similar engine in the Triumph range 1930-39 but unable to find a match. Is the engine a Triumph? Do any of the casings have the Triumph logo cast in? Is the anything cast into the casings? If so, pls forward a photo.
Try also VMCC at www.vmcc.net. They cover all vintage bike inc european makes.
