Fitting Givi E52 topbox to Triumph rack

I have acquired a 2008 Sprint 1050 with a Triumph rack and plate for the Triumph top box. However I wish to fit my Givi E52 topbox. I cannot see any plates that will enable me to do this, any suggestions please?

I have a Givi on my 08. As far as I remember, You need the triumph rack which bolts onto the passenger grab rail. You then have to get the Givi plate which bolts directly onto the Triumph rack. You can then use any Givi box. My Triumph dealer fitted it all for me but the whole kit wasn't too expensive.

Givi supply a mounting plate that bolts directly to the Truimph rack then basically any Givi top box can be attached.

I think that there's one thing You should know about Your post -> the plate You mounted to Your bike is Givi Monolock system which is not suitable for Maxia (E52).
Givi has two different mounting systems:
Monolock - for smaller bags, especialy top boxes
Monokey - for bigger boxes - top and side panniers. It's Kappa compatible.

Maxia is Monokey system compatible.

Another way I think Your solution can be implemented to Monokey plate too.

Does anyone know if the extra key tumbler that comes with your triumph will fit in the Givi boxes?

Hi,
I don't think so...
Givi key tumbler AFAIR is mounted in the bag another way than OEM is. There is a lock system using kind of ring and the OEM is locked without such a tool. Sorry, my English is too poor to discribe it better

Aftermarket top box installation on Sprint 1050

What you need is a 3mm thick adaptor plate between the Triumph rack and the top box mounting plate.

I welded some M6 nuts to the adaptor plate for ease of installation and removal.

I also have two positions for the top box. A forward position for solo riding and rearward for 2 up riding. The forward position improves handling by bringing weight forward 100mm and reduces the cantilever effect operating on the rear subframe which has been known to fatigue crack.

The adaptor plate now looks like Swiss cheese but does the job.

Here are the pics

I have a 2007 Sprint 1050 and I fitted a Givi 46 litre monolock box to it. I found a company in the UK that sell the brackets made for the Sprint. The company is Calamander. www.calamander.co.uk.
They bolt at the bottom on the hangers for the rear pegs, and then bolt to the bracket that the comes with the bike for the standard factory fitted panniers. The plate for the top box then bolts onto that. It fits beautifully and the box is sturdy and secure. Also looks very neat. I am in SA and the cost of the brackets landed was around R 1800.

reading the above text after having a look at the Calamander page I suppose You've got the original Givi rack.
I use the same in my Sprint 1050 and it works OK - one season and about 16000 km. Top box always installed and side boxes on for about 6 000 km.

IMO it does not look as good as SW Motech rack does but it seems to be more solid than SW Motech.

I can recommend it

The Triumph tumbler will not fit in the Givi bag, however; the Givi tumbler can be modified to work.

If you take the Givi tumbler out you will have two options. Either have a locksmith re-pin it so that you can use your triumph key, or you can do as I did and once you have the tumbler out take the following steps:

Insert Triumph key into Givi tumbler.

Cut the the pins so that when the Triumph key is inserted the pins are flush with the tumbler.

Re-insert tumbler into Givi bag.

This worked for me although sometimes you have to jiggle the key a little.
