There are lots of parts which are interchangeable between the T-300 models, and also some common parts out there from other Marques that fit our Hinckley Classics. Post your favorites right here.

For starters, oil filters from Kawasaki KZ1100. models fit right up, though the o-rings provided in the kit are a bit different.

Well I've been taking notes on this topic for about 5 years now.
So I'll start off and add more as time permits.

Oil Filter
Kawasaki 16099-003
Purolator ML 16817
Honda 15410-426-010
NAPA Filter #4941 Includes O-Rings
K&N oil filter (KN-192) which comes with both 'O'

T3 Oil Filter O-rings
Large 88mm ID
3mm thickness
Small
16mm ID
2 or 2.5 mm thickness

Oil Drain Plug Washer
It is actually an aluminium crush washer, so I read on this site.
It is 14mm inside diameter and 24 mm outside diameter.
Someone bought one at a Honda car dealer under part number 9410914001.
Get some spares, crush washers are designed for one-time use only. This might actually vary with year produced or specific model.

Alternator
Kawasaki ZX and ZRX 1000, 1100 and 1200 models dating from 1990 on to current models may use the same alternator. The only change needed is to swap the cush drive coupling which is held on the alternator shaft by a 6 mm bolt.

152-001-061T is the Nology part number for Triumph triples.

Head Stock bearings
A replacement steering head bearing for a TBS (and assuming a TB as well) can be picked up at local bearing supply stores for a fraction of the Triumph re-boxed cost (this is the EXACT bearing used by Triumph, NOT a substitute). The part is a commonly available 30mm tapered roller bearing by KOYO. The KOYO part number is 32006JR. The Seal under the bearing is also a KOYO part, number 32006JRRS-2.

Valve Shims
Some Honda shims are the same.
The models are: 1979 thru 1983 CB 750 K,F&C
CB 900 F&C
CB 1000 C
CB 1100 F
CB 750 SC

Kawasaki KZ 900, 1000
Yamaha Royal Star and Vmax
Suzuki has also used them but I do not have any specific models
Honda autos also use them in some engines.
They are 25 mm diameter valve shims.
I've found that many parts guys will not know what you are talking about if you go to a dealership, Talk to the Service manager.

Vacuum petcock replacement with a Kawasaki Zephyr part:

The part # is 51023-1175

According to my local dealer, this part # has been superceded by #51023-1267.

List price is about $70.00

Adjustable brake and clutch levers from a Kawasaki ZX11 (black or polished) are direct replacements.

just came across this as my parts dealer sold me a KN401 for my T'Bird instead of a KN 192 as he didn't have any in stock. He had a book that showed the 401 was the filter for the bike. However look on the K and N site and it doesnt suggest that at all. The only filter they recommend for the T'Bird is the 192. But.... cross reference the 401 and you get the following...

Several of these filters were mentioned in an earlier post as being interchangeable with the Triumph oil filter. So the 401 will do.

I am betting it's the sizes of the O-Rings, particularly the large one.

Have Been Using "non Genuine" Oil Filters. Have Worked Great, However The Large O Ring Is Always Too Large-

So Have Been Re-using Old O Ring Until I Find Someone Local Who Can Sell Me A Bulk Lot.

Bikebandit.com Seem To Have Them In Bulk, A Box Of 36 If My Memory Serves Me Correct. Regards Jeff

43mm fork tubes from Kawasaki; not all the same length, but a bolt up deal. Must be the same supplier. I installed the stock Kawasaki lowers on the Legend tubes to allow me the more sophisticated damping control of the Kaw ninja unit. And to give me a second caliper mount. The NAPA part number for the oil filter is PS4941.

If you don't give them the PS in fornt of the 4941 they will not find it.

1996 ZX 9 Ninja monoshock fit up perfectly to my 2001 Legend TT. The shock has a separate nitrogen reservoir, is both dampening and rebound adjustable and is rebuildable.

EXCEPT the spring rate is way off; plan on using the spring from your stock shock. Maybe you'll have a different experience as I could have tightened down the spring more and I hadn't recharged the shock yet with nitrogen, so MAYBE the stock spring will work. But the stock Kaw spring is not as wide nor thick and has more coils making me think its much weaker. Anyway, I bought mine for $22.00, drained and refilled the fork oil, charged the nitrogen reservoir, mounted a spring from a sprint and all is right, least ways right with my suspension.

I had an issue where I blew my starter recently. I found a replacement for 80 dollars brand new from a Denso dealer online.
