Where did you send your wheel? When I bent mine I shipped it off to http://www.thewheelmaster.com/ for repair. Excellent work!

They corrected the spread and bent rim to the point that when I tested it on my DIY wheel balancer it was better than stock specs.

Spoked Wheel Re-building

Hi Jim

here in Christchurch there is only one person (that I know of, or for that matter, does anyone else) that is an expert on spoked rims. His name is Len and he would be in his late seventies and has spent his working life dealing with spoked rims of all sorts. Retired once and has again answered the call of scooter riders in distress. His business is a 'one man bad' called Wheel Building Services and is based in a small industrial unit in the suburb of Sydenham. His workshop is akin to entering a time warp but from all who sing his praises he is the best in New Zealand.

Thanks for that address. Hope never to need the services of a wheel re-builder again. But you never know what's around that corner, especially if you are not looking!!!
