Suddenly my tbird sport will not idle, otherwise no other probs. Bike is still standard when i bought it 3yrs ago. Carbs 1 +3 read 125 mmhg approx. But carb 2 reading 300mmhg!
I have checked the diaghram, cleaned and blew the jets, replaced the spark plugs, No obvious holes in the manifolds, checked the coils. Any suggestions please.

if you are feeling the mixture is not balanced due to an increase in air, with the bike at a constant controlled rpm,use a propane soldering plummers torch, open the valve allowing propane to release [do not light the vapor]and point the tip at and near various areas where the carbs mount onto the manifolds,if you notice an increase in rpm your area its supplying is vaccuming the vapour into the engine, check for air leaks in the same area, good luck, enjoy your ride, paul

Spraying the inlets with WD40 does the same thing; set the engine settle to a fast idle and spray the manifolds with WD; if there's any change then there's a hole somewhere.

Otherwise check your carbs; who knows, there might be some***** in carb2. Try a compression test on the engine too; check all is OK at that end.

Keep us posted...
