Hello all! I have built a custom chopper themed after the Ferarri Formula One Car and used a Speed Triple Engine. The chopper is almost done but I have run into a problem. Since I have not used so much stuff i.e. gauge cluster etc. the computer is not cooperating and have no power to engine, starter etc. therfore engine will not start.

I think I'm going to need to convert engine and delete computer, fuel injection and ignition. So I need to conver to carbs and own ignition, but this is where I need help. Has anybody done this, I have heard of one racer named James Lickman but have not been able to find him. Does anybody know him or know how to accomplish this feet!

Don't know what you have tried but the safety switches need to be worked around. The side stand switch, clutch lever switch, nuetral switch and kill switch are wired to the ECU. If these switches have been dealt with, the bike should start and run. A shop manual shows wiring diagrams from which you can devise work arounds.

A chopper with a Triple and fuel injection is unique. It would be a shame to convert it to carbs IMHO. Hope you post photos when you're done. Good luck.
