After seeing Beers2u's original post in the Speed Triple Forum on his headlight modification, my search was over for what I wanted to do to my bike to enhance night time riding... Props to Beers2u for his research and post.

My lights arrived on Friday...

I already had a set of Osram SilverStar (Euro Spec) Bulbs to install...

I went with the stock wattage...

Stock Photo...

Inside one of the buckets (Note the Park Light)...

Bulb removed from the socket and the socket taped up...

Comparison Shot...

Completed Install...

Close-Up of the completed install...

Angled view of completed install...

It's all done...

Special thanks to Beers2u for the initial post and leading me down this path. Awesome, simple, 2 screw (and some electrical tape) mod that radically changes the front end appearance for the better...

The Osram bulbs can be found at...
Murphs Kits.

The Adjure Ice Headlights can be found at Custom Dynamics.

Took the bike out of hibernation last night and rode 120 miles round trip to our monthly RAT Pack meeting. The temp. was 35 when I left and 28 when I got home at midnight.

The lights were put to the test pretty well. I was very impressed with how bright they are and with how well the beam flared out across the road. I need to make a minor adjustment to raise the lights just a little. On low beam, they hit way too close to the bike and it is too easy to outrun the lights.

High Beam is very bright and even at 80 MPH in the pitch dark, I wasn't outrunning the lights. I think this will be even better when I raise the lights just a little.

Great Mod!

Great look. In fact, what I saw of your bike in the pics, it too is SWEET! I just put in Silver Stars (US spec) and was disappointed with the outcome. Although the light was "whiter" as advertised, I didn't see much improvement over the Phillips bulbs the Sylvania's replaced. I think your solution is much more elegant and useful. Thanks too for the links.
