Hello all. I found no obvious place for this thread, so here it is.
I bought my T120 off a general big bikes dealer in Saigon, as there is no Triumph dealer in Vietnam or in a directly neighbouring country.
So I am stuck to doing maintenance, which is ok, and crossing fingers to have no warranty problem, which is part of the game from the start.
But I don't have any heads-up from the mother ship in case of safety recalls, or technical bulletins.
Registering to Tritun took going through hoops (they would not offer any subscription to a Frenchman in Vietnam, i had to open an account from France). So I have the shop manual (one full day's work to make it clean and clear) and the bulletins up to present. There is bound to be more bulletins as the manual holds some clear errors (wrong chain, wrong final drive, and that is only the obvious ones I have seen).
So how would you say I should register ownership with Triumph? (*)
Should I also hook with a dealer abroad? It is so much easier getting an answer from a factory when you are not the odd guy on the other end of the Earth, waiving in the wind.
What would you say?
Thanks
NN
(*) tmsgguy gave me a pointer about this, and I gave it a shot in the dark (snail mail) which may take months to get an answer. Any way to have a positive answer is welcome.
