AI Install

Been browsing this site for a while ,and have to say that most members that have done mods have the Air Induction removed. Is this mod done only on the Bonneville line of bikes ? Will this mod void any warranty clams ?

How is this mod installed ? Where ? any info would be great !

Thx Red

Hi Red,
Yes, the AI removal is only for the Bonneville line. I haven't heard about anyone having warranty issues and you can probably get your dealer to do the job if you don't want to do it. The removal is easy with the kit like this one:
http://www.newbonneville.com/html/ai_removal_kit.html

Here's an instruction sheet:
http://www.triumph-bonneville.com/images/AI.pdf

BTW, There is no performance gains and your bike will run exactly the same without the AI. There's no adjustments required and the only difference is that your pipes will not turn dark blue al lthe way down the headers and will stay chrome looking for longer. They will change color though and may eventually turn blue, but not as bad or as quickly with the AI installed.

Good luck.

I've posted pictures in other threads to prove it but, my 2007 T100 is totally stock, AI in place , 2600 miles, ridden through a HOT Charlotte summer, and my pipes have not blued. just a lovely light gold. Why ?? who knows but having AI installed does not necessarily mean the pipes are gonna blue

Same with my 07 speedy, pipes have not turned blue after over 15,000km. but I still aim on doing the mod just so I can access the plugs easier.

a friend of mine thinks its insane that the other dealerships dont.
mine is gone and my pipes have not shown any more blueing/
i have not rejetted yet.
