I've read all the threads on car v.s. motorcycle oils. i realize that a lot of folks have had no problems with car oil, but i plan to stick with fully synthetic motorcycle oil. which oils are folks using (fully synthetic motorcycle oils only?) i've heard of the 15W40 triumph branded mobil, of course, the 10w40/20w50 mobil 1, amsoil in 10w40/20w50, (which the local dealer here uses), and a few other motorcycle brands.

1. which brands have you used/are using?

2. which viscosity? do you go with 15w40, 10w40, or 20w50 in modern liquid-cooled triumphs? most of the 20w50 stuff is branded for "v-twin/aircooled" bikes. is it less than optimal in a liquid-cooled bike?

3. has anyone heard of/used ALISYN brand 15w40 motorcycle oil?

IMHO!!
I personaly, have always used Mobil 1. In my cars in my bikes, and in my mower. I have had good luck. and will probably not change. At this point, I have too much money in my motor to take a chance on anything else. Am I nieve and a little supersticious (sp), YES! But I'll stick with Mobil 1 anyway. I have no reason to fix what is not broken. The mobil 1 works well for me and in the larger sceme of things the extra money I spend to use the Triumph Mobil 1 is worth not having to worry about whether I'm getting the right protection for my engine.

Disclaimer: My Humble Opinion.
