Drilling the slide?????

Can the carb slides be drilled to 3mm,if you are running standard needles and jets? I have taken rubble snorka out and added K&N filter + Thunderbike cans,2006 Scrambler. Currently bike is running fine, just wondering what difference there may be. Jenks guide seems to suggest this can only be done with larger jets.
Have I answered my own question?

Thanks in advance, and sorry if this is old ground. Rod

There was just a thread on this in the Bonnie forum under twin talk- sorry I'm not computer literate enough to make a short cut for you.

yes, you can do it at any point. It only effects throttle response, not jetting.

no prob! Be sure to remove all burrs & shavings. If ya don't like it you can always fill it in with epoxy & re-drill stock sized hole (some also drill a second hole to equal a 3mm single hole instead of drilling out stock hole)

I found it to give me a better/quick throttle responce. Definetly not a negative mod.
