Ok, I'm really not to dumb but this baffels me. I can understand if back in the day carbs didn't have good return springs but what is the point of dual cables in this day and age.
My T bird uses a single cable as do many sport bikes. The wife's speedmaster uses a duel system, as does the 94 Vt 1100 I'm currently working on. I've tried every known routing of the cables on the Vt and can't get the throttle work properly when I hook up the push cable.
Since its not my bike every thing will be routed and installed properly before I return it to them. But the last 4 hours of fighting just makes me ask Why? What is the purpose? Hopefully some one will enlighten me so I can have more useless bike info rattling around in my head :???:
PS I would love to mess with the speedmaster cables instead I can actually adjust each cable separately and see how they route..
