Hi all!
I am going to have a go at re-painting the Kawa as this is the first time i am going to paint a bike i would need some tips on how to do this...i have sprayed cars with spray cans...but never did the job on a bike and never done it with a spray gun before...
Well if i want to do up bikes i will have to start some were....
I must say that my little work shop is getting better and better...
I now have a proper bike lift some good tools still missing some they will come as i need them...(I had lots of tools but my x-wife family nicked em from me
My main worry is the tank what do i have to look out for when painting this??? OK i will take the petrol cap off and isolate the hole, what else
Should i do? :???:

You can never have too much preparation. Prime with one color and sand (not too deep). Reprime with another color primer and resand. Then you will see low and high spots. The better the preparation, the better the finished product. Good luck!

Might not be what you want to hear, but go to the library and get a book on auto painting. Buy your materials from a body shop supplier.
As to the priming with different colors during sanding, just use guide coat spray.
With a good book, and finding a body shop supply house, you will do ok.
