Hi - I have an old speed triple (94) and I'm needing to put a new front tyre on - having overcome the 'no centre stand' issue, with much precarious balancing and car jacks / lumps of wood....I'm stuck on the last thing....pulling out the axle ( yes I have undone the clamp bolts!)..it just won't pull out..it turns quite easily, but will not come out. I don't want to smack it with a club hammer....anyone had a similar problem?

Thanks all,
Jim :hammer:

Smack it with a hammer. Use a block of wood or get on of those dead-blow hammers in a funky color. Orange is the best.

Good luck (don't be scared) ....Hagrid

You say it turns quite easily, but if its like my '01, it is threaded into the right hand slide tube. I find lifting up on the wheel a bit while pulling, helps free the axle as well.
