on a Scrambler ?

i need to remove it so i can get to the gearchange Shaft and Repalce it

Also when i took the Clutch cover off to cut the bent shaft off to make removal easier a Wavy Washer thing fell out whilst iwern't looking ??? where the hell does that go

A 36 mm socket is what you need for the big nut. An assistant is handy as you need to put it in gear and hold the back brake on to get it undone. Yes it is tight, breaker bar and piece of water pipe tight.

Ahh, yes the ol' wavy washer trick that's the third time this week (in best Don Adams voice) it goes on the starter idler gear, I had one of them on the floor after I changed clutch springs, it ran OK without it but I didn't like it so I sprung for another primary gasket and bottle of oil.
